How does GetMyBoat handle cancellations and refunds?
Each listing has its own cancellation policy set by the owner. GetMyBoat stands by each owner's individual policy and refunds will be issued based on the terms of the cancellation policy.
If a customer cancels outside of the owner's cancellation policy, a full refund will be processed minus GetMyBoat's service fee which is always non-refundable.
If a customer cancels within an owner's cancellations policy, a refund will only be processed if the owner authorizes one. The owner has full right to claim a partial or full payment if canceled within the terms of their cancellation policy.
Please note that even though GetMyBoat helps with processing payment, the owner has the final say over whether or not a refund should be issued. If an owner does not agree or does not wish to refund, they are entitled to a full or partial payout per their cancellation policy.
When an owner cancels a booking, a full refund including GetMyBoat's service fee, will be issued to the customer. A cancellation fee may be applied to the owner's account if a valid reason for the cancellation is not provided. This fee will be deducted from an owner's future payout.
Please keep in mind GetMyBoat's service fee is non-refundable regardless of when the cancellation occurs.
