How does GetMyBoat handle cancellations and refunds?
Each listing has its own cancellation policy set by the owner. GetMyBoat stands by each owner's individual policy and refunds will be issued based on the terms within the cancellation policy.
If a customer cancels outside of the owner's cancellation policy, a full refund will be processed minus GetMyBoat's service fee which is always non-refundable.
If a customer cancels within an owner's cancellations policy, a refund will only be processed if the owner authorizes one. The owner has full right to claim a partial or full payment if cancelled within the terms of their cancellation policy.
If an owner cancels a booking, a full refund will be issued to the customer. A cancellation fee may be applied to an owner's account that will result in a deduction from an owner's future payout.
On rare occasions, GetMyBoat may override an owner's cancellation policy if evidence is submitted proving the customer has a valid claim for a refund. These cases are few and far between.
Please keep in mind GetMyBoat's service fee is non-refundable regardless of when the cancellation occurs.
