How come you block my number, email, and/or website when I try to share it with a customer? I need to talk to customers before making an offer!
GetMyBoat does not allow the sharing of contact information (phone, email, websites, etc) until after a booking is confirmed and paid through GetMyBoat. We know communicating with a customer before a booking is essential but that is why we have the messaging tool. We try to do our best to give you a general sense of what the customer is looking for so you can create an offer. Remember, you can always message a customer after an offer is created OR you can add comments within your offer explaining certain items or to request additional information from the customer.
Unfortunately, we've found that sharing contacts before a booking results in many transactions going off the platform. By using GetMyBoat, you are agreeing to abide by our Terms of Service. That includes keeping the transaction on the platform and not communicating directly with a customer until after they accept an offer from you.
If you really need to get in touch with the customer, you can always contact us (GetMyBoat Support) and we would be happy to call them on your behalf to get answers to any questions you may have about the inquiry.
