How are refunds taken care of?
Customers occasionally need to be refunded for all sorts of different reasons. You may need to cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances, the weather may be causing havoc, or the customer may need to cancel. GetMyBoat can easily refund a customer when a refund is warranted. Here are some scenarios:
Customer cancels before the booking start date
If the customer cancels before the booking is set to begin, GetMyBoat will automatically refund the customer in full unless otherwise specified by your cancellation policy. (Here's the link to updating your cancelation policy if needed).
If the customer is in violation of your cancellation policy, we will give you the option of choosing whether you wish to offer a full refund, a partial refund, or no refund.
You need to cancel before the booking start date
If you have to cancel on the customer for any reason, we will refund the customer in full. You just need to inform us by contacting GetMyBoat Support so that we can promptly issue a refund.
There was an issue with the booking and you wish to refund the customer
Things happen out on the water. Boats break down. Amenities aren't as advertised. Customers have a complaint. If after a trip is completed you wish to issue a full or partial refund to a customer and you have not yet been paid by GetMyBoat, please contact us ASAP so we can refund the specified amount back to the customer.
If you wish to refund a customer after a completed reservation and you have already received your payout, please contact us directly so we can figure out the best course of action.
