If an owner needs to cancel your booking, you should encourage them to cancel the booking through the platform or for them to contact us to trigger your refund. You may also contact us directly to let us know if an owner has communicated to you that they need to cancel your booking. If the owner does cancel through the platform, you'll receive an email confirming the cancellation.
When a booking is canceled by the owner, you the customer will be issued a full refund including our service fees.
We never like to hear about an owner canceling on a customer, but sometimes things come up where this happens. GetMyBoat is not responsible for cancellations by owners but we are more than happy to quickly process a refund as needed.
Please note if neither you or the owner notify us of the cancellation (either by emailing or calling us or by canceling the booking through the platform) GetMyBoat will not be aware there's been a cancellation and therefore will not have issued any refund.
