No! GetMyBoat will not charge your credit card until you accept an offer from an owner.
When you click the blue "Contact Owner" button or "Request to book" button, you will be taken through an interactive questionnaire that will send your inquiry to the watercraft owner directly. Your card will not be charged until the owner has created an offer for you and you have received and accepted it. At that time, you will be prompted to enter your credit card information and confirm the booking.
If you have previously added your credit card to your GetMyBoat account, your card on file will be charged when you accept the offer.
Please note GetMyBoat always encourages customers to use a credit card versus a debit card. Since the card on file is charged immediately when you accept an offer, if there's a mistake or a cancellation it will take several days to get the money back to your account. For some, this is a rather big inconvenience if the money is taken out of your checking or savings account instead of being charged on a credit card.
