When you accept an offer from an owner your credit card will be charged in full for the total amount of the booking. Your booking will be considered confirmed and you and the owner will receive a confirmation notification from GetMyBoat.
Once a booking is confirmed, you may contact owners directly via phone or email to work out any remaining logistics or firm up any details. You can still use the GetMyBoat messaging system as well.
It is important to note that you will only be charged the amount of the booking. You will NOT be charged the security allowance (formerly the deposit) upfront. The security allowance you see in an owner's offer or booking confirmation will only be charged post-rental if an owner puts in a legitimate claim. It also is important to carefully read the offer and messages the owner sends you. Some owners will indicate there may be additional payments needed to be paid upon arrival that are not included in the booking price. These payments may include captain and crew fees, fuel, cleaning fees, and gratuity.
