Captain as a Service is a feature that allows boat owners to assign their recommended captains to their charter bookings on the Getmyboat platform. This ensures a safe, enjoyable, and seamless experience for renters. We introduced this service to simplify the bookings process for bareboat charters

How do I become a captain on Getmyboat?
You would have the owner input your information into the platform. Once a booking is confirmed the owner would go to their Getmyboat Inbox and select from their list of captains or select "Invite a new captain" to input the captain's email, first name, last name, and phone number - then click "Send Invite". The captain will then receive an email to "Accept Invite" which directs them to input their payout details. Once complete they'll be able to assign captains to confirmed bookings.

How do I get paid as a captain on Getmyboat?
Captains are paid directly through the Getmyboat platform. You will receive an email with login information for your captain profile. Payments are processed on the day of the charter. You can update your payout information here: https://www.getmyboat.com/s/auth/login/
*If you already have an account you can sign in with your email and select "Forgot Password" if needed.
*You will do this on a web browser and not the mobile app.
*Once you've logged in successfully, take a moment to update your password to something memorable and add your payout account details for seamless transactions.
- What are the fees for captains?
There are no fees for the captain at all, 0%. -
Will captains be available to other owners?
No. This service does not allow any captain to work on any vessel. The goal is to improve how owners work today with their own list of recommended captains. Owners will assign captains to each individual trip once select by the renter. Only captains that have been used by the owner previously will be within this list.

Will captains receive tax documents at the end of year?
Yes, we will produce a 1099 for captains.

How are the rates for captains determined?
Rates for captains are discussed with the captain and the owner. The owner will input the rate which you have agreed on. -
