Using Getmyboat Charge for direct bookings is easier than ever. All bookings, regardless of the source (phone inquiries, your website, Facebook, or even walk-ins) can be managed on one comprehensive platform, eliminating the need for multiple software solutions and calendars.
How do I create a Direct Booking using Charge?
Simply go to 'charge' in the main menu and then select 'new booking'. Begin creating your request by selecting the listing the booking is related to, then add the trip information, and enter a price. Finally, add the customers name, email, and phone number. Your customer will receive the trip offer to their email, and can then pay immediately by credit card to confirm the booking.
Does the renter/charterer need a Getmyboat account?
No, the renter can checkout as a guest, create a new account or, if they already have a Getmyboat account with the email address associated, they will be asked to login with their existing Getmyboat credentials.
Will Direct Bookings effect my availability calendar?
Your Direct Booking's will interact with your calendars availability to prevent double bookings, and we'll immediately cancel any open offers for the same time so can keep track of your entire business in one place.
What are the final fees for owner and renter?
2.5% for the renter, 1.5% for the owner. The charge fees make using Getmyboat for direct bookings less than any other payment provider/method on the market today. This saves you money immediately, while also providing you with fraud protection, ID checks, chargeback protection and access to our 24/7 customer service team.
When do I get paid for direct bookings?
Direct bookings are paid in the same way as a standard Getmyboat booking. This way we can ensure you are paid, and provide all of the same protections.
Will this help with my search ranking on Getmyboat?
Absolutely! Every booking counts. More importantly you will have the opportunity to generate even more reviews which in turn will help your search ranking and conversions on the Getmyboat marketplace even more.
If I have a repeat customer who originally booked through Getmyboat Marketplace, can I use direct booking to handle future bookings with them and save on fees.
Yes absolutely, and we encourage you to. The conversion rate (due to the trust association with Getmyboat) is much higher than if you simply request a venmo or wire transfer. Plus you both have the peace of mind of Getmyboat protections.
